Zwei Jugendliche wurden nach einem Disco-Besuch im Ortzentrum von Sölden nach eigenen Angaben von einem Unbekannten angesprochen. Der Mann wollte eine Zigarette haben, gaben sie zu Protokoll. Offenbar nach einem kurzen Wortwechsel habe der Unbekannte 18-mal auf den damals 22-jährigen Söldener Peter (Lucas Zolgar) eingestochen. Sein Begleiter Andreas (Rafael Haider), der damals erst 17 Jahre alt war, wurde ebenfalls durch einen Messerstich verletzt.
