Protesters in Afghanistan and Pakistan staged demonstrations against the recent Quran burning in Sweden. Protests took place across the Muslim world after Swedish-Danish far-right politician Rasmus Paludan set fire to a copy of the Muslim holy book in front of Turkey’s embassy in Stockholm on Saturday. Turkey has since indefinitely postponed a trilateral meeting with Sweden and Finland that was due to take place in Brussels next month.
