Iran's foreign ministry spokesperson Nasser Kanaani said on Monday that normalisation of relations between Saudi Arabia and Israel would be detrimental "to peace, security and stability in the region". Kanaani's comments followed US President Joe Biden dispatching his national security adviser Jake Sullivan to Saudi Arabia on Thursday for talks with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman as the White House pushes for a normalisation of relations between the country and Israel.
